Power Shutdown in Tamil Nadu Today (28 October 2026)
The Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) has released the official list of scheduled power cuts for today, 28 October 2026. Due to monthly substation and line maintenance work, power supply will be temporarily suspended across 19 substations in Trichy, Coimbatore, Vaniyambadi, Karur, Marakkanam, and several other towns.
In most locations, the power outage will take place from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. However, Madukkur and Thamarankottai will face an outage until 3:00 PM, and the Mylampatty (Metro) substation area will have a power cut until 4:00 PM.
1. Trichy Power Shutdown Today (9:00 AM to 2:00 PM)
Four substations in Trichy are undergoing monthly maintenance work today. Power supply will remain suspended from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the following areas:

In the Coimbatore region, Kuniamuthur and Malayadipalayam substations will remain shut from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, while the Mylampatty (Metro) substation will undergo maintenance from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM:
